Senior Java Developer

Veego is an Israeli high-tech company that develops AI and other leading technologies and products for telecom companies. We create revolutionary software that is changing the face of internet usage.    

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to bolster our distributed backend-development team.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand Veego standards and product codebase in detail; write code, validate results, and be responsible for your contributions
• Participate in code reviews, investigate product issues and cross-teams bugs; and manage incidents 
• Take a role in managing the technical debt, work with others on the team to  create and assign technical tasks
• Be ready to write and maintain technical documentation (wiki)
• Help the team collect technical requirements and be involved in the feature prototyping process

Requirements:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in development
• Java 11+
• Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
• Kafka
• PostgreSQL or other RDBMS
• Working experience in Service Oriented Architecture and Micro Services
• Experience working with Kubernetes
• Familiarity with AWS Stack
• Understanding of the principles of building highly scalable, highly available and maintainable systems
• Prior experience with defining and implementing information architecture, principles, and standards
• Good, working English

Ideal additional skills:

• Experience working with MQTT, Mosquito broker
• Experience working with big data: data lake architecture, time series databases, Spark/Amazon EMR, parquet data format, Amazon Aurora
• Gradle
• Protobuf protocol
• Docker, Helm, Git Actions
